See the pdf of an article in the Irish Examiner where the 10th hole at Cobh Golf Club was recently voted the 8th best hole in Cork. The 10th is a downhill Par 3 to an island green and as can be seen from the picture, the water in the lake fits well with the visible water in the estuary beyond. The hole looks tough but in reality, it is a downhill shot and, including the green surrounds, the target is actually quite large. Its not like the 17th at Swagrass where, if the green is missed, a watery grave is the result. The_best_18_golf_holes_in_Cork.pdf
The article also has two holes from Cork GC in the top 18. I renovated all the bunkers at Cork several years ago.
